 Post subject: Snow Buntings and Lapland Longspurs 2-28-10

In what can only be remembered as a scene from Wizard of Oz I spent a couple of hours looking for Snow Buntings in all the wrong places only to find them right in my own backyard-almost! I travelled to the Argentine road area looking for the posted birds but struckout. I then came home and went to Stow and Sherwood Road and found about 3 doz Snow Buntings and at least 3 lapland Longspurs.
