I have not logged on much recently but I believe I saw a Whip-poorwill North of Fowlerville last Friday shortly after dark. I was driving slowly along a dirt road with my high beams on when something came up from either the surface of the road or the edge of the road. It had short rounded wings and flew in a slow, erratic fluttering manner similar to how a moth flies. It seemed lighter colored than I think it should have been but I have never seen one and the light was bright. I'm confident it was not a bat.

Good Luck,

Jerry
